Cheyenne - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is soliciting public comments on a new draft document: "Wind Energy Issues: Impacts and Mitigation for Wildlife in Wyoming." The document provides recommendations for assessing impacts to wildlife from wind energy projects, for collecting data, and for mitigating effects on wildlife.

Wind development projects are not likely to directly impact aquatic resources unless a new structure is built on a perennial stream. However, we are concerned with the indirect and cumulative impacts to aquatic resources associated with the construction of a wind farm. The construction of roads and pads will change how water runs off the landscape.
