DEADLINE APPROACHES FOR YOUTH CONSERVATION CAMP APPLICATIONS

5/16/2008

CHEYENNE-- Wyoming youth are reminded that the deadline to apply for the 2008 Wyoming Game and Fish Department's youth conservation camp is May 31.  The camp is open to Wyoming residents 14-17 years old and involves a week of shooting sports, fishing skills and conservation education along with canoeing, hiking, rapelling and campfire time.

The camp will be held Aug. 3-8 at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp near Dubois.  Enrollment is limited to 50 youth.  There is no charge, but participants are required to make their own transportation arrangements and to provide a sleeping bag and their own personal gear.  Meals are served in a family style setting in a main dining hall and lodging is in cabins located on the premises.

Additional information is available by contacting the Game and Fish as 307-777-4538 or on the Game and Fish Web site.
