Located approximately 29 miles north of Cody on
State Highway 120, at mile post #129.5 turn west on
County Road 1AB. Follow 1AB for 5 miles, then
travel east on county road 8VE for 1.9 miles.

Situated on the west bank of the Clark’s Fork River about 35 miles north of Cody, this hatchery provides an impressive view of the jagged Beartooth Mountains.  In 1969, the hatchery was constructed in this beautiful location because of the presence of 11 natural springs supplying 50-55 degree F water year-round.  As much as 10 million gallons of water a day flow through this facility!  That translates into almost 9,000 gallons every minute.  Fish species reared at Clark’s Fork include rainbow trout, brown trout, Yellowstone cutthroat trout for brood stock and planting, Snake River cutthroat and grayling.
You can fish locally on the Clark’s Fork River for trout and grayling.
